Christmas 2007

Our kids leave carrots and water out for the reindeer every year. They must be hungry and thirsty after their long journey!

I heard some noise so I went outside... Santa and the reindeer had already left. The reindeer sure made a mess of the carrots! There were even sleigh tracks in the snow! (...the things we do for our kids!)

We spent most of the day playing the Nintendo Wii Santa brought for us. The girls also played with their new American Girl dolls. Thanks to all the grandparents / great grandparents for all your great gifts. The kids loved everything!

Christmas Dresses (now including Santa)

Karen bought this super cute Santa outfit for Andrew, so we couldn't resist. (He didn't stay in it for church)

Christmas note for 2007

Well, this year has been a busy one, mostly due to the addition of Andrew to our family. He's a sweet little boy & we couldn't have gotten an easier baby if we'd picked him out ourselves!

The highlight of our year- Andrew arrived on March 22nd, healthy and quite happy. Eventually he realized that he would have to make a little more noise if he wanted to get our attention, but his noise is still nothing compared to that of his older sisters...

The rest of the family is pretty much wrapped around Andrew's little finger! The girls think he's cooler than anything, (except maybe Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay & Ryan... if you don't know who "they" are, then you must not have girls between the ages of 3-13.)

The girls were given a copy of "High School Musical" from Renee' and Shelby, who came to help out after Andrew was born, and that's when the girls fell in love.... We are now all well-acquainted with the songs, the movies, the dances, etc. Sadly, it's not just the kids that like the movies, we're all pretty addicted!

Anyway, enough of that... We won't bore you with all the details of our year... we've had our share of bumps along the way, but compared to the tales we've heard from others we care about, ours seem pretty minor. Besides, as a result of our "trials" this year, we have really felt the hand of the Lord in our lives. He has taken good care of us and blessed us greatly. Much of that came from some of you - your love and support, your presence in our lives, your willingness to reach out & help us.... in both simple and grand ways. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We are so grateful for the friends and family we have. And... we're really grateful that BOTH of our vehicles are running when they are supposed to... and stopping when they are supposed to!

Love, The Foote Family

Snow day!

We awoke to about three inches of snow today, but by noon there was eight or nine inches. It just kept snowing. All day. Amber and I cleared walks and driveways for us and two of our neighbors. It was a heavy, wet snow that no one should have to shovel. Praise to the inventor of the snowblower! (...Although it still took two hours and I'm still very sore!)

Amber's Snow Angel

It warmed just before sunset enough to make perfect packing snow, so we started a winter fort. We had a good 45 minutes before the snow cooled and wouldn't pack anymore, so we only completed a few rows of blocks.
